Blogging away the blues

While driving to work I had the sudden urge to listen to Pink Floyd. So I replaced the Rang De Basanti CD with the Floyd and put Wish U Were Here in the loop mode. I just love the way the song opens with the lead guitar joining after a few seconds. So anyway that was a good way to start the day and mercifully the Bangalore traffic on my treacherous route behaved rather well. In 30 mins I was at work. A rather good start to the day I must say.

But as the day wore on I began to get into doldrums. Twishi was away for the weekend and I was feeling lonely. Most of my friend were either out of station or I had met them very recently to trouble them again. The prospect of spending a dull weekend was certainly weighing on my mind. The trip to the gym always helps because after all that sweating and a nice hot water shower the mind does get into a trance. Even that hasn't helped today.

So here I am at 7 on a Friday evening wishing away my blues. Blogging always helps so I am writing this post but with no theme in mind. I hadn't even thought up of a title for this post but now it seems I am going to call it "Blogging away the blues" :)

I should probably go down to a waterhole and drown away my sorrows. But drinking is fun only when you have friends to share it with. I am not a big fan of solitude boozing. Social drinking is my cup of tea (now thats a pun !).

But I am already feeling better after this scribbling. A blog a week keeps the doctor asleep ... HA HA HA !
